‘Writing in the House of Dreams’ was my first blog and I loved writing it, but there came a point when I thought why write for free when I could channel this time and energy into writing paid articles for magazines?

Since then, I’ve written many series and features for Mslexia, The Author and Writing Magazine, where I also have a monthly column, now in its eighth year.

But I’m proud of what I achieved with this blog, and I’ve missed the community of regular commenters that used to drop by to read it, so now I’m starting to republish some of my favourite articles from here to my new substack, This Free-Range Writing Life.

It’s all free to read, like this blog, and will include my ‘Life, Writing, Workshops’ newsletters. I won’t be posting new material here, so please do come and join me there, for new material and some golden oldies from my House of Dreams.
